Board Members

 

Iris Kiesling, President, is also Vice President of the Monroe County Commissioners, and a long-time member of the Bloomington Memorial Society which became the Funeral Consumers Alliance. Having been a resident of this community for more than forty years, she is especially interested in continued efforts to creating a scattering garden.

Susan Dovenmuehle, Vice President, is a mental health counselor in Bloomington, specializing in grief and loss therapy. She has worked at Hospice of Bloomington Hospital for the past 14 years as a bereavement specialist, facilitating support groups for children and adults in the community. She also has a private counseling practice at the Graham Plaza

Byron Bangert, Treasurer, is a research scholar, columnist, and ethics consultant who used to be employed as a parish minister and research associate and remains active as a volunteer.

Susan Krieg, Secretary, is a birth doula and also an administrative assistant at St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Bloomington.

Carol Seaman, is one of the founding members of FCAB, is an attorney employed by Cook Group Incorporated in Bloomington for 17 years, currently serving as Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer.
